T Barny wins 1st place!

SAFE & SANITARY - ‘Safe TP’, wins First place in the Marin Society of Artists - FRESH ART 2020 show. The show this year is both a virtual show that can be viewed here.

At the beginning of the Covid pandemic, people were hoarding toilet paper. Store shelves remained empty for weeks. SAFE & SANITARY is a sculpture I have created as tribute to the “Great toilet paper shortage of 2020”; the first being ‘2 Left’. Carved from Italian Carrara Marble, it is a permanent reminder to always keep a roll on hand for emergencies.
