This sculpture is carved from Utah Rhyolite sourced in St. George, Utah. I discovered this piece on a regular stop at a favorite rock shop in Kanab during drives home from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Formed in a molten state, the stone’s rich swirls and earthy colors reflect ancient volcanic forces frozen in time. Each curve reveals the energy and movement of its fiery origins.
