I have to admit I am a hoarder of different kinds of stone. I also hoard cool words in a ‘Title’ file that is 2 inches thick. Sometimes a word a stone, and a shape come together in one meaning. Mesons are subatomic particles. Mesons do not last long, they eventually decay. The six faces of this super ellipsoid seem so fragile. It is as if they might melt away or decay at any moment. This block of translucent Macedonia Onyx arrived unexpectedly with a stone purchase from one of my ‘stone’ suppliers. It was not on the bill of lading, but I think it was fate that it came to me.
