PUAKO - 'Petroglyph site in Hawaii’
When I was in college, I wrote my thesis on how pictographs and petroglyphs were humankind’s first mass communication, left on rocks and caves for others to find. These pictures eventually evolved into modern languages in use today. Most of the glyphs on this piece can be traced not only to Hawaii, but also to Norway. How did man’s early writings evolve to the same images on three different continents thousands of years ago?
