Chinese Fluorite
This Chinese Fluorite sculpture reflects wu wei - like water: it’s soft but also rough. It flows effortlessly around obstacles rather than trying to overcome them. This piece began with two sliced fragments that, together, revealed a new whole. Its surfaces contrast smooth polish with raw fluorite crystals. Letting go of the Mobius structure was a risk, but it made me feel stronger, more open, and more connected as an artist.
